The Wine’s Story
Saperavi Budeshuri is a rare and ancient clone of the traditional Saperavi grape, native to Georgia. Unlike classic Saperavi, it has white pulp but still produces deeply colored red wines due to its high skin pigmentation.
Donkey Land is softer, more elegant, and slightly less tannic, with notes of red berries, wild herbs, and a touch of earthiness. It’s a refined take on a bold Georgian classic.
The name Donkey Land is an homage to the donkeys once commonly used by winemakers in Georgia’s Kakheti region to help with vineyard work.
Fermented in stainless steel tanks using hand-harvested grapes.
*Naturally made wine with minimal sulfites
